HUMAN 3CL3 - Community Leadership at McMaster

Students complete at least 48 hours of volunteer work as mentors to other McMaster students in a variety of positions; for example, as language assistants and conversation partners in Level 1 language classes; as writing tutors, peer helpers, or note-takers for specific courses. Students receive training during the Teaching & Learning Forum in early September and position-specific training from position supervisors. Students work with the course supervisor to set learning objectives and document their progress via the Learning Portfolio.
The course is graded on a Pass/Fail basis.
Prerequisite(s): Registration in Level II or above of any program; and permission of the instructor responsible for the position
