This course emphasizes the strategic role of information systems in modern business. Topics include: the technical foundations of information systems, the impact of information systems on business operations and decision-making and the processes that are required for successful implementation of business information systems. Prerequisite(s): One of COMP SCI 1BA3 , 1MA3, 1MC3, 1SA3, COMP SCI 1TA3 , ENGINEER 1D04 ; and registration in any Commerce or four or five-level non-Commerce program or non- Engineering and Management program.
