An introductory physics course, that can serve as a replacement for Grade 12 Physics U, emphasizing conceptual and descriptive applications of physics using examples from biological systems. Topics include: Physical Modeling and scientific estimation, locomotion and biomechanics, concept of waves, sound and hearing. Designed for Life Sciences and Health Sciences students who want to understand the basic concepts of physics in accordance with their areas of study. Three lectures; one term Prerequisite(s): One of Grade 12 Advanced Functions U, Grade 12 Advanced Functions and Introductory Calculus U, MATH 1K03 Not open to students with credit or registration in ISCI 1A24 A/B .
