HISTORY 2IC3 - Islamic Civilization: The Formative Period, 500-1258

This course explores the relationship between religion and society in Islamic civilization and the special role of history in Islamic thought. It is designed to introduce students to early Islamic/Middle Eastern history and the texts of Islamic religion and law.
