LIFESCI 2AP3 - Life Sciences Academic Placement

This placement course provides students in the Faculty of Science an opportunity to explore career options and integrate academics in the laboratory or clinic of a faculty member at McMaster University. The student will complete an academic component in addition to the placement.
Students are responsible for arranging a suitable placement and supervision, and are required to submit an application to the Life Sciences Program Office thirty days prior to the date classes begin in each Term (see the Sessional Dates section of this Calendar). Normally students will complete 60 hours of placement work through the duration of the experience; occasional lecture/tutorial; one term
Prerequisite(s): Registration in Level II of any program in the Faculty of Science with a minimum C.A. of 9.0, permission of the academic supervisor and the Director of Life Sciences (or delegate). Priority will be given to students registered in a Life Sciences program.
