ARTHIST 3FL3 - Cinema History to WWII3 unit(s)
An introduction to the history of narrative film from its beginnings to the Second World War. It focuses on narrative cinema’s development from aesthetic, social, technological and economic perspectives while also touching on a selected number of issues in film theory. Two lectures, plus one weekly film screening; one term Prerequisite(s): Registration in Level II or above Cross-list(s): THTRFLM 3FF3 This course is administered by the Theatre & Film Studies program.
