SOCIOL 761 / Topics in Statistical Methods for Social Research3 unit(s)
Prerequisite(s): (SOCIOL 740 or equivalent, or Permission of the Instructor)
This is a moderately advanced course in social statistics, meant to introduce students to several statistical methods that are frequently used in social research. Representative topics include structural-equation modeling; survival analysis; mixed-effects models for hierarchical and longitudinal data; missing data; and data from complex survey samples.
