This course will examine selected, current and advanced topics in the biology of the peripheral neuromuscular system (i.e., motoneuron, neuromuscular junction, skeletal muscle). Emphasis is placed on the cellular mechanisms of health and disease processes, as well as the responses and adaptations during acute and chronic physical activity.
