EARTHSC 4CC3 - Environmental Reconstruction using Stable Isotopes 3 unit(s)
Stable isotopes are widely used in modern earth and environmental sciences because of their unique chemical properties that enable us to trace past and current environmental processes. This course will discuss the basic principles of stable isotope geochemistry and their applications to paleo and modern climate and environmental reconstruction. Prerequisite(s): EARTHSC 3CC3 or ENVIRSC 3CC3 . One of EARTHSC 2E03 , ENVIRSC 2E03 , ISCI 2A18 A/B is strongly recommended.
