REHAB 718 / Mobility Across the Adult Lifecourse: A Rehabilitation Perspective

Prerequisite(s): Must be enrolled in Rehabilitation Sciences of have permission of the instructor.

This course explores mobility as a field of study in rehabilitation science. Mobility will be discussed a variety of rehabilitation contexts: across the lifespan and life course, across settings and continuum of care, explore frameworks and methodological approaches to understanding mobility trajectories, factors influencing mobility, and how research may be integrated from fields of experimental, cellular, physiology, clinical, technology, and community- and population health to inform mobility interventions. Students will explore the evidence related to mobility research, place it in the rehabilitation context, and engage in scholarly discussion through faculty- and student-led seminars.
