HISTORY 3AR3 - Atlantic Revolutions, 1750-1804 3 unit(s)
An intensive exploration of the great eighteenth-century Atlantic Revolutions in comparative perspective. The course will examine the differing cultural and social rationales for revolution, the nature of the new revolutionary regimes in America, France, and Haiti, and an exploration of the phenomenon of counter-revolution in all three societies.
