CHEM ENG 785 / Bacteriophage Biotechnology

This course is intended to give a survey of the key applications of bacteriophages (bacterial viruses). Emphasis will be placed on applications that are more relevant to chemical and biomedical engineering. Fundamentals of phage microbiology are discussed at the beginning of the term. Emphasis will be placed on enabling the students to navigate the diverse and rich body of scientific literature in the field, identify key challenges, and formulate ideas.
