FINANCE 711 / Mergers, Acquisitions, and Corporate Restructuring

Prerequisite(s): FINANCE 601  or BUSINESS F650  

The course discusses the process of mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring.  It investigates the motivations for such transactions, how to evaluate opportunities, and how deals can be structured.  In addition, the course will examine relevant empirical evidence, and other related topics such as leveraged buyouts and stock repurchases.  The course should be of interest to students who consider careers in investment banking and corporate finance.
