Prerequisite(s): Must be enrolled in graduate plan in Child Life and Pediatric Psychosocial Care
This is a required course for Stream 1 learners, and runs during the Fall Term in conjunction with #715 Child Life Clinical Internship 1. The course will be delivered in a synchronous online classroom environment on a weekly
basis. The seminar follows a set curriculum of foundational professional practice topics to further integrate child life clinical training. Topics covered will focus on three broad areas including foundations of practice, child life
assessment and interventions. Learners will explore topics using research grounded in evidence based practice, knowledge and skills from their clinical internship placement and through scholarly discussion through faculty and
student-led seminars.
