CLPPC 719 / Child Life Clinical Skills Seminar 2 3 unit(s)

Prerequisite(s): Must be enrolled in graduate plan in Child Life and Pediatric Psychosocial Care. Must successfully complete CLPPC 718 .
This is a required course for Stream 1 learners, and runs during the Winter Term in conjunction with #716 Child Life Clinical Internship 2. This course is delivered in a synchronous online classroom environment on a weekly basis.
The seminar follows a set curriculum of advanced professional practice topics to further integrate child life clinical training. Topics covered will focus on three broad areas including child life assessment and intervention, leadership
and administration in child life practice. Learners will explore topics using research grounded in evidence based practice, knowledge and skills from their clinical internship placement and through scholarly discussion through
faculty and student-led seminars.
