MECH ENG 759 / Rapid Prototyping

This course will enhance the physical prototyping capabilities of students. First, by developing a foundation in 37TCAD theory, assembly techniques, kinematic and dynamic simulations, 3d printing considerations, g-code, CAM, FEA and Topology Optimization. Students will then apply these learned skills with additional considerations made for assembly, manufacturing, maintenance and most importantly user experience and develop a tangible, functional design assembly for their term project.
