LINGUIST 4PL3 - Advanced Programming for Linguistics

An advanced experiential study of natural language processing applications using programming languages/environments such as Matlab, Praat, Python or R. Topics might include word categorization and tagging, text classification, or speech analysis and synthesis.
Three hours; one term
Prerequisite(s): LINGUIST 3PG3 and registration in Level III or IV of a program in Linguistics or Cognitive Science of Language.
Antirequisite(s): LINGUIST 3PL3
