LINGUIST 4G03 - Language, Sex and Gender

This course investigates how patterns of language behaviour interact with social categories of gender and sexuality, and how speakers use language to express their gender and sexual identities.
Three hours; one term
Prerequisite(s): LINGUIST 2S03 ; and registration in Level IV of a program in Linguistics or Cognitive Science of Language, or permission of the department for students pursuing a minor in Gender Studies
