PEACJUST 3C03 - Researching Global Peace and Social Justice

Approaches, theories, and methods to conducting research and translating, sharing, and mobilizing knowledge to diverse audiences to address the intersections of global peace and social justice. Students will develop an appreciation for the key epistemological, philosophical, and ethical considerations that need to be made in conducting research at the intersection of peace and social justice, and hone their skills in generating research questions, conducting secondary research, analyzing and applying research methodologies, and identifying conceptual frameworks and theories that will help frame research findings.
Three hours; one term
Prerequisite(s): Registration in Level II or above of any program; at least three units in PEACEST or PEACJUST; and an additional three units of PEACEST, PEACJUST or GENDRST; or permission of the Global Peace and Social Justice program
