This course will provide a structured overview of health research methodology, basic statistics, validated appraisal tools, research project design and conduct, and career planning in health research. The course will include a practical research component under the supervision of a faculty member in the Department of Medicine, with independent student-led project work from inception to completion.
Two terms; bi-weekly tutorial and research work
Prerequisites: Registration in level II or above of the BHSc (Hons) Program and permission of the instructor (by application).
Antirequisites: Completion or co-registration in any Level IV HTHSCI senior project or thesis course.
