MANUF 701 / Project, Part I 3 unit(s)
Prerequisite(s): Enrolment in the M.Eng. Manufacturing Engineering program
This is the first part of the two-semester project course for the Masters of Engineering in Manufacturing Engineering program. Through the two-course project, students are expected to provide a solution to a manufacturing-related project of a community partner. Students will work often in groups under the direct supervision of a faculty member to clarify the partner requirements and needs, design a solution, and produce/deliver the solution. During this first part of the course, students will focus on literature review, design optimization, part procurement, and creating a timeline for completing their proposed technical implementation in part II of the project. Evaluated on a Pass/Fail basis. Terms 1 and 2
