CLPPC 709 / Vulnerability in Childhood and Adolescence

Prerequisite(s): Enrollment is restricted to Child Life and Pediatric Psychosocial Care students only.

This course is designed to provide an exploration of vulnerability in childhood and adolescence and the influences of diverse experiences including racism, historical trauma, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and others. Students will examine the relationship of resilience and transactional models when considering interventions, resources and support for children, youth and families. This is a required course for Stream 1 learners in the Spring/Summer Term. This course is offered online with 2 virtual sessions.
