HTHSCI 3MR6 A/B - Practicum in Medical Research.

This course will provide a structured overview of health research methodology, basic statistics, validated appraisal tools, research project design and conduct, and career planning in health research. The course will include a practical research component under the supervision of a faculty member in the Department of Medicine, with independent student-led project work from inception to completion.
Two terms; bi-weekly tutorial and research work
Prerequisite(s): Registration in level II or above of the Honours Health Sciences Program and permission of the instructor (by application).
Antirequisite(s): Completion of or co-registration in HTHSCI 3H03, 3H06, 3HR3, or any Level IV HTHSCI senior project or thesis course, or registration in Level IV or higher.
Note: This course can replace the degree requirement for HTHSCI 3H03/6, but it is not open to students who have already completed 3H03, 3H06, 3HR3, or a 4th year project/thesis course. This course cannot replace a 4th year project/thesis course requirement.
