In this course students will embark on a journey through the molecular mysteries that shape human health and provide a window into the world of biomedical science. The course will explore how tiny molecules and cells hold the keys to understanding and treating diseases. Content will be focused in three main areas: microbiology, metabolism, and cancer. Topics include antibiotics, vaccines, and stem cells. Students will become familiar with biomedical research and how scientific discoveries are transforming medicine.
