KINESIOL 3CN3 - Clinical Nutrition

Building on foundational knowledge of nutritional requirements for healthy adults, this course focuses on conditions commonly encountered in clinical settings. Students will examine nutritional requirements to support health in normal physiological states (such as growth and development, pregnancy, and aging) and learn how diet may be used as an adjunctive treatment strategy to help manage chronic disease (such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and cancer).
Lectures (two hours), bi-weekly tutorial (one hour); one term
Prerequisite(s): KINESIOL 1F03 and registration in Level III or above of an Honours Kinesiology program
