STATS 3AT3 - Advancing Tomorrow’s Actuaries

An intensive pre-co-op experience that equips students with technical and professional skills essential for success in the insurance industry. Students will undergo advanced training in technical areas such as Property & Casualty (P&C) Pricing and Reserving, Programming, Insurance Data Manipulation, Modeling, and Predictive Analytics, with application through real-world case studies. Additionally, emphasis is placed on professional skill development, including effective communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and professionalism. The course also offers mentorship, networking opportunities, and an overview of the P&C industry, alongside providing access to an Actuarial Analyst Toolbox to support students in their career journey.

Prerequisite(s): Registration in Honours Actuarial and Financial Mathematics Co-op
It is recommended that this course be completed prior to the first work term.
