Prerequisite(s): OCCUPTH 761, 771, 781, 791, 762, 772, 782, 792, 763, 773, 783, 774, 784, 744, 795. Students must also have passed this Capstone’s related assignments in OCCUPTH 744.

The ability to concretely describe OT interventions and how they address specified occupational performance issues is a key aspect of OT practice. Being able to clearly communicate this to patients, families and other members of the healthcare team can help to promote a common understanding of the intervention and facilitate collaboration in implementation. Despite this, rehabilitation treatment approaches are often inadequately described, hindering evidence-based practice using shared terminology and standard treatment descriptions. This course will provide students with opportunities to advance their practice knowledge,specifically, their knowledge and skill in intervention description.
