MMGMT 717 / Strategic Leadership in AI and Analytics

Prerequisite(s): Enrollment in the Master of Management in Applied AI and Data-Driven Decision-Making

Strategic leadership centers on organizations’ top leadership and its ability to understand the business situation, environment and other aspects that after the future outcomes of the organization. It involves an ability to influence others to make decisions that increase the organization’s ability to survive in the long term. It requires the capacity to anticipate a set horizon, maintain flexibility, think strategically, and work with others to initiate change that creates a sustainable future for the organization. This course is therefore designed in this era of artificial intelligence to equip managers with the skills and knowledge to leverage AI and analytics in strategic decision-making and influence of others to ensure organizational success. This course will discuss the significance of data in strategy development, fostering a culture around innovation and analytics, and leading/managing change. It will make use of case studies, role plays, case studies/group projects, and presentations to both learn and demonstrate how to lead and implement data driven organizational initiatives.
