This course explores key themes in the history of women and gender in Canada and the United States in the period since the achievement of (still limited) federal woman suffrage. Connections are made to the history of sexuality, history of gender identity, labour history, and Indigenous history. The relative focus on Canada or the United States is determined by the instructor in each year.
