ASTRON 3X03 - Galaxies and Cosmology

Stellar populations, star formation and the interstellar medium in galaxies. The Milky Way Galaxy; normal and active galaxies and large scale structure in the universe; observational and theoretical cosmology.
Three lectures, occasional lab periods; one term
Prerequisite(s): Six units from Level II PHYSICS, PHYSICS 1E03 , ENGPHYS 2A04 , 2H04, 2P04 , 2QM3 , DATASCI 2G03  (or PHYSICS 2G03). 
Alternates with ASTRON 3Y03 .
