An introduction to organic chemistry with emphasis on the reactions of functional groups and an introduction to spectroscopic techniques for structure determination.

Prerequisite(s): ISCI 1A24 A/B or CHEM 1AA3
Antirequisite(s): CHEM 2OC3, 2OG3, CHEMBIO 2OA3, 2OG3
Students with a grade of less than C- in ISCI 1A24 A/B or CHEM 1AA3 are strongly encouraged to consider CHEM 2E03 before attempting CHEM 2OA3, or as an alternative to CHEM 2OA3. Registration priority will be given to students for whom this course is a program requirement.
Not open to students registered in Honours Chemical Biology or to students with credit or registration in CHEM 2OC3, 2OG3 , CHEMBIO 2OA3, 2OG3 .
