PSYCH 2AP3 - Psychological Perspectives on Mental Health 3 unit(s)
This course explores atypical behavior, emotion, and thought as they relate to major psychiatric disorders such as anxiety, depression, and schizophrenia. Students will examine definitions, causes, diagnoses, and treatments of mental illnesses while critically engaging with research, clinical practices, and the experiential aspects of psychological health and psychological disorder.
Three lectures; one term
Prerequisite(s): ISCI 1A24 A/B ; or one of PSYCH 1F03 , 1N03, 1X03 and one of PSYCH 1FF3 , 1XX3 and registration in Level II or above; or registration in Level II or above of an Arts & Science or B.H.Sc. (Honours) program
