Intensive study of the technique and repertoire of any solo instrument or voice adhering to a particular style (such as Western classical, Broadway, jazz or pop), or individual instruction in composition.
Weekly one-hour meetings per term; two terms
Prerequisite(s): Registration in Humanities I or any Music program; and permission of the School of the Arts. Students must have a successful audition at approximately Grade 6 RCM level or equivalent (for solo performance), or a portfolio of written compositions (for composition). Prior to July 1, interested students must either contact the School of the Arts to arrange an audition (for solo performance study), or to submit their portfolio (for composition).
