BIOLOGY 3IR3 A/B S - Independent Research Project

Students will conduct an independent research study in a faculty member’s laboratory. Students are responsible to arrange a suitable placement and supervision, and are required to submit a form to the Department of Biology thirty days prior to the date classes begin in each Term (see the Sessional Dates section of this Calendar).
8 - 10 hours per week (scheduling arranged by supervisor); one or two term(s)
Prerequisite(s): Registration in Level III or above of any Honours Biology program. BIOLOGY 2L03 is recommended preparation.
Permission of the Department is required.
Students are expected to have a GPA of at least 8.0.
Antirequisite(s): MOLBIOL 3I03 A/B S
Not open to students with credit or registration in any department- or program-based independent study or research seminar course within the University.
