HTHSCI 3MR6 A/B - Practicum in Medical Research. 6 unit(s)
This course will provide a structured overview of health research methodology, basic statistics, validated appraisal tools, research project design and conduct, and career planning in health research. The course will include a practical research component under the supervision of a faculty member in the Department of Medicine, with independent student-led project work from inception to completion.
Two terms; bi-weekly tutorial and research work
Prerequisite(s): Registration in level III or above of the Honours Health Sciences Program and permission of the instructor (by application).
Antirequisite(s): Completion of or co-registration in HTHSCI 3H03 A/B S , 3H06 A/B S , 3HR3.
Note: This course can replace the degree requirement for HTHSCI 3H03 /3H06 , but it is not open to students who have already completed 3H03 , 3H06 , 3HR3. This course cannot replace a 4th year project/thesis course requirement.
