An intensive course for developing oral and written production and comprehension (level A1 of the CEFRL). The normal sequel to this course is FRENCH 2ZA3. This course cannot be applied toward a Minor in French.
Four hours (three hours lecture, one hour tutorial); one term
Prerequisite(s): FRENCH 1ZA3. Students with Grade 9 French or CEFRL A1.1 range of competencies should contact the Department of French for placement in the course most appropriate to their abilities.
Antirequisite(s): FRENCH 1Z06 A/B
Not open to students with credit or registration in Grade 10, 11, 12 French U, FRENCH 1A06 A/B, FRENCH 1AA3 , FRENCH 1AB3 , FRENCH 2M06 A/B, FRENCH 2Z06 A/B, FRENCH 2ZA3 , FRENCH 2ZB3 , Francophones, or Immersion students.
The Department reserves the right to place students in the course most appropriate to their abilities.
