HTHSCI 2MB3 - Microbiology in the Health Sciences 3 unit(s)
This course will explore the bacteria, viruses, parasites, fungi, and other microbes that are implicated in human health and disease. Through lectures and problem-based learning students will consider the classification and laboratory identification of pathogenic organisms, diseases associated with different microbes, and their pathogenesis.
2 lectures, 1 tutorial; one term
Prerequisites: Registration in Level II and above and registration in a program in the Faculty of Health Sciences, or Arts & Science Program.
Antirequisites: HTHSCI 2HH3 , LIFESCI 4L03 , MOLBIOL 4P03
