This class looks at an array of scholarship on ethical interactions with Indigenous literatures (ex.: R. Eigenbrod, M. Coupal, E. Tuck) and workshops strategies of engagement with Indigenous literatures in French in the context of the classroom.
Topics discussed include: situating oneself; ways of knowing and sharing knowledge; “damage-centered” versus “desire-based” teaching practices.
