NUCENG 4RP4 - Radiation Protection and Health Physics

Radiation interactions with organic and inorganic matter. Detection, dosimetry, and radiation protection measures. Radiation safety, environmental impact, and regulatory requirements for nuclear plant operations.
Three lectures, one tutorial, one lab (three hours) four times per term; fall term
Prerequisite(s): Registration in Level III or above of a program in the Faculties of Engineering or Science, or in any Integrated Biomedical Engineering & Health Sciences (IBEHS)(iBioMed) Program. NUCENG 3D04 or ENGPHYS 3D04 or MEDPHYS 4B03 is recommended.
Antirequisite(s): MEDPHYS 4F03
