The Master of Biomedical Discovery and Commercialization (MBDC) Program is a one-year course-based Master’s that provides students with the scientific and technical knowledge that underlies breakthrough discoveries in the biomedical sciences and drug discovery. The program also provides an understanding of business fundamentals that are necessary to market such discoveries. The program is offered full-time and preference will be given to applicants who completed the Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences in Biomedical Discovery and Commercialization Program at McMaster University.
One of the most important features of the program, the integration of business and science, is achieved through the Team Project, Scholarly Paper and two M.B.A. level Business courses. Experiential learning is obtained through a four to eight-month community internship that provides students with an opportunity for creative exploration of Biomedical Research and Commercialization. The internship also provides students with an invaluable opportunity to expand their professional network and to develop and refine a sound career plan.
