Honours Communication Studies (B.A.)

Communication Studies is an academic discipline that encompasses many fields of inquiry. Graduates of this program will have an advanced knowledge of the nature, function and evolution of communication, and will develop both practical and theoretical skills necessary to pursue careers in the field of communications.

Admission


Completion of any Level I program and a Grade Point Average of at least 5.0 including a grade of at least C in CMST 1A03 .

Notes


  1. Students are required to take CMST 2RA3 , 2TM6  and MMEDIA 1A03  by the end of Level II.
  2. Students are required to take CMST 3HC3  (or CMST 2CC3 ) by the end of Level III.
  3. Students wishing to take more than the required six units of Level IV Communication Studies courses must first obtain permission from the undergraduate advisor for the Communication Studies program.
  4. Students transferring into the program at Level IV should not expect to complete all of the degree requirements in one year.

120 units total (Levels I to IV), of which 48 units may be Level I
