The following 600-level courses will be offered for graduate credit to ECE students in the M.Eng. program (to a maximum of two courses) or in the M.A.Sc. program (to a maximum of one course). However, these will not be available for graduate credit within the minimum course requirements of ECE students in the Ph.D. programs. Ph.D. candidates in the department may not count courses 702-709, inclusive, towards minimum course requirements. All course prerequisites must be satisfied or students must have permission of the instructor. Credit for graduate courses from previous programs will be considered on a case by case basis by the Department’s Graduate Affairs Committee on the recommendation of the student’s supervisor.
The following 700-level courses are available for graduate credit. However, not all courses listed will be offered each year. A list of those courses offered will be issued by the Department at the beginning of each academic year.
In addition, 700-level graduate courses in other departments may well be suited to the needs of Electrical Engineering graduate students. Among them are: ENG PHYS 721, 722, 723, 724, 725, 782. Mathematics 745; MECH ENG 724; and STATS 741, 742, 743, 744, 754, 761. Prior approval from the ECE department is needed to enrol in these courses.
