Program Options

A candidate for the M.A. in English will complete seven one-term graduate courses or their equivalent, including one required core course that extends across the winter and spring/summer terms, with grades of at least B- in each. The core course requires students to complete an independent project in the spring/summer, which will be assessed on a pass/fail basis by the course instructor.

Admission

The M.A. degree normally requires one full year to complete. The minimum admission requirement is a four-year undergraduate degree with a major concentration in English, Cultural Studies or a related discipline, and with an average of B+ in at least 6 full (or their equivalent courses beyond the introductory level in English), Cultural Studies or the related discipline.
