Honours Integrated Science - Chemical Biology Concentration (B.Sc.)

Admission

Enrolment in this program is limited and possession of minimum requirements does not guarantee admission. Selection is based on academic achievement but requires as a minimum, completion of Honours Integrated Science I with a Grade Point Average of at least 5.0 including ISCI 1A24 A/B .

Program Notes

1. Students are encouraged to consult with the departmental undergraduate advisor for Chemistry and Chemical Biology (chemadv@mcmaster.ca) for advice on course selection prior to registration.
2. Students are strongly advised to check prerequisites for upper-level Chemical Biology and Chemistry courses. The prerequisites should be considered when selecting your courses.
3. Students intending to seek admission to graduate school are strongly recommended to complete the following: CHEM 3AA3 , and 6 units from CHEMBIO 4A03 , 4OA3  or 4OB3 . CHEMBIO 4OA3  has CHEM 3OA3  as a prerequisite.
4. ISCI 4A12 A/B  has CHEMBIO 4GG9 A/B, CHEMBIO 4G12 A/B  and CHEMBIO 4RP6 as an antirequisite.
5. Students are strongly recommended to not take CHEMBIO 3L03  and ISCI 4A12 A/B  concurrently.
6. Certain Level III and IV Chemistry and Chemical Biology courses are offered in alternate years. Students are recommended to carefully consider course offerings in planning their course selection for Levels III and IV.
7. One of CHEMBIO 3EP3 A/B S, 3RP3  may be completed to satisfy units toward the Level III Chemical Biology requirement.
