Professional Practice (PP) courses are subject to change, depending on availability and pressures within the health care system. As such, these course changes and/or substitute courses will be made at the discretion of the B.Sc.N. program and in accordance with the requirements of nursing accreditation and licensing bodies.
Note:
NURSING 3A04 and NURSING 3RY4 cannot be taken concurrently; these courses must be completed in separate terms.
Twelve units of electives are to be selected from disciplines of the student’s choice of which a minimum of six units are to be chosen from courses designated Level II or above. A maximum of six units of electives may be selected from NURSING and/or HTHSCI elective course (i.e. those course that are not required for any of the program streams). For some courses the amount of duplication of required content will preclude use for elective credit in the B.Sc.N. Program. Mandatory NURSING and/or HTHSCI courses from the Basic (A) Stream or the Accelerated (F) Stream of the B.Sc.N. Program cannot be used toward elective requirements for the Post Diploma R.P.N. (E) Stream.
