Honours Medical Radiation Sciences (Level I)

Enrolment in this program is limited.

Program Notes


  1. As places in the Honours Medical Radiation Sciences program are limited, admission is by selection, and possession of published minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.
  2. The University reserves the right to grant admission to a limited number of students and to refuse readmission to any student whose academic performance or general conduct has been unsatisfactory, or who has withdrawn from the program for a period in excess of one academic year.
  3. WHMIS 1A00 , a one-hour mandatory online Introduction to Health and Safety course, is a co-requisite to Level I courses with a lab component and must be completed prior to the first lab.
  4. BIOSAFE 1BS0  a mandatory online introduction to bio-safety lab training, is a co-requisite to BIOLOGY 1A01 , 1A02  and 1A03  and must be completed prior to the first lab.
  5. Laboratory Routine Practices, an online module available through Mosaic (Health and Safety Training), must be completed prior to attendance in the first lab associated with each of: KINESIOL 1Y03 , 1YY3 .
  6. For consideration to a Level II Honours Medical Radiation Specialization, Honours Medical Radiation Sciences (Level I) students must complete at least 24 units during the Fall/Winter session, including BIOLOGY 1A03  (or BIOLOGY 1A01  and 1A02 ), KINESIOL 1Y03 , 1YY3 , one of LIFESCI 1D03 , or MEDRADSC 1C03 , one of MATH 1A03 1LS3  or 1MM3 , MEDRADSC 1B03 , 1C03 1E03 , 1F03  and achieve a Grade Point Average of at least 5.0. Failure to complete these minimum requirements may compromise consideration for admission to a Specialization.
  7. When completed together, BIOLOGY 1A01  and 1A02  serve as a substitute for BIOLOGY 1A03 . These courses should be completed in the same term. If completed, both BIOLOGY 1A01  and 1A02  would be required for admission.
