Admission

Enrolment in this program is limited. Admission is by selection, and possession of the published minimum requirements does not guarantee admission. Selection is based on academic achievement and a supplemental application to the School of Rehabilitation Sciences. As a minimum:

  • Completion of any Level 1 program
  • and a cumulative GPA of at least 6.0
  • and Grade 12 Biology or completion of BIOLOGY 1P03

Notes:

  1. The program has limited enrolment.
  2. Selection will be based on academic achievement in Level 1, alongside a supplemental application. Further details are available on the program website (Future Students - Integrated Rehabilitation & Humanities (mcmaster.ca)).
  3. Before choosing courses, students should be familiar with prerequisites to determine course selection in the subsequent year(s).
  4. Students in the IRH program who are considering applying to graduate programs or other health professional programs are strongly encouraged to review the specific admission requirements, particularly for anatomy and physiology. In most cases, HTHSCI 2F03  (Human Physiology and Anatomy I) and HTHSCI 2FF3  (Human Physiology and Anatomy II) are recommended to meet these requirements. For further guidance or clarification, students should contact the IRH Academic Advisor.
