The Humanities Concurrent Certificate: Skills for Life

Notes

1. All BA, Honours BA, and combined Honours BA students in the Faculty of Humanities who complete Humanities I will be required to complete a mandatory, concurrent skills certificate.
2. The following students will be exempt from completing the skills certificate:

i. Students who enter Music I or Integrated Arts I
ii. Students who transfer into the Faculty of Humanities after Level I
iii. Single Honours BA students in the Faculty of Humanities who complete a Specialized Minor in Commerce
iv. Students in some Combined Honours B.A. programs may be exempt from completing the certificate. Contact the Humanities Academic Advising Office for more information.

 3. Students who are exempt from the requirement to complete this skills certificate may nevertheless elect to do so by completing the above-mentioned courses. This concurrent skills certificate   will be entered in the student’s academic transcript upon graduation.

 4. As part of the certificate, students may complete a maximum of two internships (HUMAN 3IP1 A/B S and HUMAN 3IF1 A/B S). In such a case, four 1-unit modules would also be completed.
