LIFESCI 1E03 - Physics in Medicine and Biology 3 unit(s)
An introduction to the physics underlying some of the techniques used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Topics include: electromagnetic waves and application to x-radiography, an introduction to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), radioactivity and nuclear medicine, and an introduction to radiation therapy and the biological effects of radiation.
