CHEM 3RP3 - Research Practicum in Chemistry 3 unit(s)
A one term research project undertaken in a chemistry laboratory during the fall, winter or summer term which requires the submission of a formal report. May be taken in preparation for a Level IV thesis.
Students are responsible to arrange a suitable research experience, obtain appropriate permission from both a placement and academic supervisor, and are required to submit an application to Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology thirty days prior to the date classes begin in each Term (see the Sessional Dates in the Undergraduate Calendar). Prerequisite(s): Completion of Level II of Honours Chemistry or Honours Sustainable Chemistry; and permission of the academic supervisor and the course coordinator (or designate)
Not to be taken concurrently with a Co-op work term.
